With the summer winding down, my sister and I really needed a quick break from it all.
So we packed our tote bags with wine, magazines and books, threw on our bikinies, and headed out to enjoy a fun fill day by the pool.
It was a very refreshing day of nothingness. We hopped in and out of the pool, blew fresh bubbles into the sky and stretched out under the sun on the roof top to tan.
We totally enjoyed doing absolutely nothing.
We drank to our hearts desires and read magazines and books with women who looked like us on the covers.
It was very refreshing
It was what we needed
A break from everything and everyone.
Sometimes you just need to take a break to breathe in and breathe out. Truth is, my sister and I are at very critical points in our lives, with plenty of late nights and earlier mornings. This summer we were forced to settle down a bite more and hone in on what we really want to do with our lives. With that being said, we haven’t had much time for any vacations. Even our weekends that mostly use to be spent for leisure are now used for business opportunities.
As young professional we have learned that every second counts. The older we get the more we try to utilize every second of our day. We now plan out our fun, so when we are relaxing we are not as worried about pending projects.
LaborDay weekend was the perfect time for us to mentally and physically escape.
If you haven’t had a chance yet to take a break from everything this summer, we strongly advise taking a day to restore your body mind and spirit by relaxing so you can begin the fall refreshed and renewed.
Trust us, there is beauty in doing NOTHING.
