From Jail House to the White House, Ambassador Doctor Margaret Dureke has used her life’s work to show that we are all empowered to achieve the impossible.
After facing unforeseen obstacles, the Nigerian born native decided to dedicate her life’s work to giving back through global awareness, service and upliftment.
As an immigrant who only came to America to attend Lawschool in DC, Ambassador Dureke paved the way for thousands of women who had a dream of empowering women from all walks of life to create and own their own dreams.
As a #GirlBoss and owner of several businesses like JAHS Publishing, she has used her life experience to begin motivational speaking, life coaching, and writing; starting her movement, #MargaretSpeaks . Our favorite book by her is “How to Succeed Against All odds” which just so happens to be her best seller and nominated by BET as a must read. After reading several of her motivational books, our perspective on life has changed forever.
Despite all her success, she decided to give back even more and create a non-profit called WETATi, which stands for “ Were Empowered to Achieve the Impossible” & “ Women Empowered to Achieve the Impossible”.Her selflessness and endless community activism for teaching entrepreneurship recently landed her the position as The Goodwill Ambassador of The Republic of the Gambia.
To us, her daughters, her greatest accomplishment is being our mother!
