Last Thursday June 2, 2016 we were invited as tastemakers/facilitators at #TheAmIExperience Event to share our perspective on how growing up African in America has shaped your narrative and the story of Nkem Life and how our blog relates to the African Diaspora Community. The question of the night was, AM I TOO AFRICAN TO BE AMERICAN OR TOO AMERICAN TO BE AFRICAN?
The AM I Experience: Conversation & Cocktails took place at Avery’s Bar Lounge in Washington DC and was hosted by digital storyteller Nadia Marie, Lifestyle brand Royal Dynamite, and International DJ Collective Tagsoundz.
