Why have you been gone?
I hope you haven’t stopped creating? I love seeing your posts.
As if I was creating my artwork for double taps on Instagram.
As if social media existed the first time I picked up a paint brush.
My journey to living a life of purpose and intent has lead to numerous joyous opportunities. I’ve been knocking down many of my goals, left and right but yet I lacked a strong foundation with God. I should have been seeking his acceptance, love and validation first before man. I needed time to refocus and refuel. I needed to find my voice again as an artist. During this time of creating and working without sharing or talking about it LOL I quickly realized that success for me means fulfilling my purpose, potential and accomplishing something worthwhile outside of the internet.
In my search for peace, I had to take a break from social media, which I highly recommend doing. Time made me appreciate the people in my life that I see on a daily basis more. It forced me to face many of my realities both good and bad and lastly it tregered many amazing and frightening emotions.
One important question I was forced to ask myself and I am now asking you is, how important is your life and your life experiences if they aren’t shared with the world?
I’ve realized that the beauty of life is simply figuring things out as we go. So thank you for following me on my journey to finding my way in the world & determining who I am as an adult.
Its been a beautiful journey and I’m thankful for it.
It feels good to be back.
